Keating’s Commitment to the Environment

Keating’s commitment to the environment began in the early 1980’s by educating students on our tours about the effects of weather, geological changes on our earth, and, in turn, the effects of global warming.

We are pleased to see the rest of the industry is now following suit, as we consider the short role we play in our students’ lives a privilege and take it very seriously. Our goal is to persuade students to begin to think critically about the issues at hand and engage them in discussion. We also hope to encourage students to believe that they can make a difference in this world, and show how the smallest things that we do now can have the biggest impact in our futures to come.

Our environmental initiatives during the 2007 season were written by one of our former tour guides, Mr. Brett Moore. His dedication to the environment is shared by countless guides, and thus was incorporated as a permanent section of our training regimen.
